Mayday

I’ve been mentally exhausted by the world. With the politics and social upheavals and natural disasters (personal and global). I’m tired. What can I say… So I’ve been keeping my head down, face pressed to warm wet earth (well not really but I want that visual in your mind, you are welcome), and I ask myself my purpose.

And meanwhile, I’m making things and the show, as it do, goes on.

It’s been a few months since I’ve updated, so let me catch you up.
I’ve  been hunting for freelance work, as I do, and most isn’t anything worth talking or sharing… but I do have some fun digital things for you to set your eyes on

First I did a design for the World Naked Bike Ride in Columbus Ohio
WNBRLonghair

There’s a version with shorter hair, follow the link above to go find it. Shirts with this image will be sold at the event. If you’re in town and like to bike, roller skate, regular skate, or use any people powered transport, go check it out.

I’ve been compiling images for my “coloring book”, which is really an excuse to compile a collection of black and white illustrations, which you can choose to color, or not.  Click the images to enbiggen.

If all goes well I should have this ready for publication in the fall. My aim is to self publish, but I’m also building a list of publishers to contact first. I’m hoping this will help me get more spot illustration jobs.

Most of the rest of what’s happening is just me questioning what I’m doing, am I doing the right thing, should I change direction. I don’t know, except I need to not allow myself to remain overwhelmed. That will do nobody any good.
